About the Youth Initiative

The Youth Initiative of the National Center for Victims of Crime builds the nation's capacity to support youth victims while working to advance their rights and ensuring youth leadership on issues that affect youth.

"You(th) Have the Right" Campaign

The You(th) Have the Right campaign is aimed at helping teenage victims of crime come forward to get the help they need to be safe and free from fear. News release.    

The following resources have been developed to give schools, youth organizations, victim service agencies, and other community groups practical tools to reach out to young people and develop ways to make it safer for youth to disclose their victimization.

You(th) Have the Right ...to ask...to learn...to tell.  This youth-friendly mini-brochure underscores that youth victims are not alone and that there is help. View and download. Order hard copies.

Walks youth through some of the common concerns youth victims have in coming forward and suggests way to ask for assistance. View and download.
