New Publication for Community Corrections Officers


The Stalking Resource Center, in partnership with the American Probation and Parole Association, and the U.S. Department of Justice Office on Violence Against Women are pleased to announce the release of Responding to Stalking: A Guide for Community Corrections. This guide describes effective approaches to supervising stalkers, which include focusing on victim safety and insisting on offender accountability and behavior change. It encourages probation and parole officers to screen offenders for stalking behavior, document the incidents of stalking, and actively pursue all violations.

The Stalking Resource Center is pleased to present Practitioner Perspectives, a series of articles highlighting promising responses to stalking across the United States.

The first of this series introduces Deirdre Keys, Stalking Program Coordinator of the Battered Woman's Legal Advocacy Project in Minnesota.


Violence Against Women Act 15th Anniversary


The Stalking Resource Center joins the U.S. House of Representatives in recognizing the 15th anniversary of the Violence Against Women Act of 1994. This pivotal legislation has enabled communities across the country to work toward enhancing their responses to stalking and other forms of violence against women. See H.R. 738.


Stalking Support Group Guide


The Stalking Resource Center is pleased to announce the publication of How to Start and Facilitate a Support Group for Victims of Stalking.

How to Start and Facilitate a Support Group for Victims of Stalking is a guide for victim service providers, volunteers, and other concerned community members on how to initiate and run a stalking support group in their agency or community. The guide includes information about designing a support group for stalking victims, recommendations for group membership, tips for facilitators, a sample curriculum, and much more.
